It's kind of like my own creative journal. If you don't see anything new on this one, head on over to my other one and I'm sure you will find something new and exciting! Leave comments! I love them!Becka LeFollhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00246126864110485566noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4670936032641243695.post-26590980575459020022011-04-23T19:32:00.000-07:002011-04-23T19:32:25.339-07:00BABY!YES! BABY! Zack and I are expecting! It was a total suprise but we are so very excited that this little one is on the way. Being pregnant sucks...you get to eat everything you want to (unless it makes you gag... which is EVERYTHING!), sleep alot (because you are too exhausted to do anything else), buy cute baby things (because you don't want to look at anything in your "new size"), AND you get hand and foot rubs all the time (because they like to swell up on you). haha See? SUCKS! But it's all worth it in the end right?
I'm due December 8th and I cannot wait! We are frantically trying to save our pennies so we have enough for all of those awesome doctors visits.... and the delivery. I never knew how much money it cost JUST TO HAVE THE BABY!

Other than that big news, nothing is terribly new. I'm going to Paul Mitchell Hair School and am LOVING it. Starting next week I can actually take clients of my own!!! Zack is just studying away, finishing up his Bachelores in Financial Economics and getting ready to take his MCAT's. We are looking at moving into a townhome or an actual house. I'm so excited to have a yard! My inner gardener is calling to me.
Mine just looks like a little jellybean. As I type, it is slowly growing fingers and toes. ONLY 33 WEEKS TO GO!
Anyway, I don't know if anyone even reads my blog, but I guess if you are, thank you! Hope you are doing well. Until next time!Becka LeFollhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00246126864110485566noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4670936032641243695.post-77860125741997535292011-02-19T10:01:00.000-08:002011-02-19T10:04:21.924-08:00Projects...For the past week I have been in total project mode. I want to refurbish, repaint, sand down... EVERYTHING! It is just so much fun "bringing things back to life" Plus, you get this amazing satifaction from doing it all by yourself. Some of the projects Mr. LeFoll and I will be embarking on in the near future will be:

Our office desk (it is going to be custom made by Mr. LeFoll)
A vegetable crate that will be turned into a shabby chic shoe holder (That's all I'm giving for that one)
A bed-side table (which will include before and after pictures)
A magnetic chalk board that will go in my kitchen
AND!!!!! my very favorite!!!!

We will be tackling the impossible task of reupholstering my wingback chairs!

Stay tuned.Becka LeFollhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00246126864110485566noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4670936032641243695.post-83253854939222997442011-02-14T11:34:00.000-08:002011-02-14T11:34:21.511-08:002.14.2011 ... Day of LOVE!I love Valentine's Day. Wanna know why? It's all about love, flowers, and chocolate!... oh, and you get treats from all of your friends! It might just be one of my absolute favorite Holiday's.

I remember when I was in elementary school, I loved taking valentine's to all of my friends. I always wanted to make them myself and THESE were my particular favorite to make. I would beg my mom every year to buy the stuff to make these! I still think they are absolutely adorable and I'll be making them for our friends!
It's midnight and I'm still sitting in my living room chair...absolutely miserable. My head feels like it's floating and my throat is sandpaper. It's hard to breathe and because of that, I can't sleep....The Food Channel has been on for the past 8 hours.... AND to top it off, Zack had to go to bed so he could get up early for school which means, no comforting. I hope tomorrow is a better one.Becka LeFollhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00246126864110485566noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4670936032641243695.post-59946725497565711992011-02-05T09:30:00.000-08:002011-02-05T09:30:02.493-08:00Busy Busy BeeA busy bee, that's what I have been the past week. Something so great that I don't even know how to explain how I'm feeling. It's pure bliss....are you ready for this? ... *pause for effect*

VINTAGE NAPKINS!

I'm in love with them. Here are some pics of what I have right now. I WILL be adding to my collection. My mom had the great idea of selling them... hmmm.... I'll ask my grandma if I can use her business name ("Top of the Table to You"). Get it? "Top of the Morning to you?" I LOVE IT! So creative and cute. Anyway. I'll show you my pictures now.
Wow, it has been a pretty hectic few days. There have been a lot of stressful things going on in the LeFoll house. Mostly with the management of Stonebrook apartments. All I'm really going to say is, I hope that we get things figured out soon because my nerves ... and my temper can't take much more. Needless to say, I've been on edge for the past few days. However, a crisp morning walk opened my eyes to some of the beauties around me. You could say that I "stopped and smelled the roses." One of the best things about living in the place we are now, is that when you walk out the door you can see the Rexburg, Idaho Temple. It's beautiful and today seeing it surrounded by all of the gorgeous snow, I was grateful to have one of God's temple's so close to my home.

The other thing I noticed this morning was how beauiful the trees are. They are stripped of all greenery, but the twisting branches and the deep brown of the wood have their own beauty.

Just noticing these small things have helped me to calm down and realize that everything is in God's hands. Everything happens in God's time and all we can do is have faith. No matter how cold the weather gets, there is always beauty around us.Becka LeFollhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00246126864110485566noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4670936032641243695.post-62337247353349530592011-01-02T16:19:00.000-08:002011-01-02T16:19:24.940-08:00New Year...2011

Happy New Year! As I think back on 2010, I am happy to say I have no regrets. It has been a good year.

In January I finished High school and was accepted into BYU-Idaho. At that time, I was also working at a darling little cafe in Norway and was able to save up a TON of money for myself.

In April I started school and met the love of my life, Zack Lefoll. We dated for all of 3 weeks before deciding we were perfect for each other.

In June, specifically June 29th, Zack and I got married. Yes we eloped, but it was right for us and even now I don't regret making that choice. I'm looking forward to being sealed for time and all eternity in 2011.

In August I moved to Sheldonville, Massachusetts where Zack and I lived with his Nana. To me, it was the perfect start to our marriage. We worked, saved money and learned how to love each other with everything we had. Of course it took a few fights, tears, and advice but we got through it and are now closer than ever.

In October our good friends Anja and Patrick came to see us and we had a WONDERFUL 5 days exploring Boston, New York, and Salem. It was the perfect ending to our stay in Massachusetts and needless to say I fell in love with the East Coast and plan on living there one day. *fingers crossed*

In November, Zack and I made the 5 day drive back to Rexburg, Idaho. On the way we had the privilage of stopping to see Palmyra, the Hill Cumorah the Sacred Grove, and Nauvoo. It was amazing to learn about all of that Church History. November also brought us THANKSGIVING! Our very first one together. We spent it with our family (Rachel and John) and a few good friends.

In December, We drove down to Colorado to see my family (who just moved back from Norway). We spent Christmas with them and had very enjoyable 3 weeks decorating, organizing, building and spending time together.

2010 was also the year I straightened my life out and finally started putting the past behind me.... I am so excited for 2011. It is a chance for a fresh start. I'm ready for all of the challenges that will come my way and know that no matter what happens, it always turns out right in the end. I'm ready for new friends, a new home, new projects, and a new life. CHEERS to this magnificent new year! I hope it is filled with nothing but wonderful things!
One of the places we decided to go was Old Sturbridge Village. It was about a 3 hour car ride from where we were living. Old Sturbridge Village is a living museum located in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. It re-creates life in rural New England during the 1790s through 1830s (the Romantic Period). It is the largest living museum in New England, covering more than 200 acres.... We didn't get to see everything, but we did get to see some of their biggest attractions.

All of the buildings are built like they were in the 1700's. There is no electricity, no plumbing, and no modern kitchens. Actors are hired for a few months out of the year to come to Sturbridge Village and live like our ancestors did. They dress the same way, talk the same way, and eat the same way. It was fun to see all the live-stock walking around. We even saw turkeys! Man, those things are ugly.

Since this is a museum, huts and houses are not the only things you can see. It was fun meeting together with my new extended family for a good meal at one of the restraunts they have been going to for years. It is called Shady Acres and they have AMAZING breakfasts. People travel from all over to see it, and now I know why. The trees are absolutely spectacular! Being from Colorado, I've seen the aspen yellows, but I've never seen the reds, oranges, yellows, and purples all in one clump of trees. Every time we drove somewhere I felt like I was in a dream. It made me want to drink apple cider and eat pumpkin muffins.
Zack and I decided one day to go out and take pictures of the beautiful fall leaves. The pictures speak for themselves... ENJOY!

<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; I just have to say that I have the best Husband in the world... I do.... it's true. Let me tell you why:
Sadly I had to work most of the day, but my instructions were to come home from work and get myself all pretty. So I did. When Zack came home he was dressed in his church suit and was holding a HUGE bouquet of daisies. Every kind of daisy you could think of was in that bouquet. There were also 3 roses... I had to put it into two vases because there were so many flowers.

After that wonderful suprise (I only say suprise because he never buys me flowers) we went out to dinner. It was an authentic Italian restaurant that was half outside and half in. Our servers name was Giovanni and sounded like he was straight off the boat. We ordered Fliet Mignon with potatoes and gravy (the BEST gravy I've ever had in my life) and fresh veggies. There was also warm bread and garlic oil to dip.
Oh! I also got a Pina Colada... virgin of course, which is my favorite!

After dinner we walked to a dessert cafe. It was the CUTEST thing. Reminded me of all the fun European cafe's I've been to. We got a dark chocolate torte with fresh raspberry syrup and whipped cream. TO DIE FOR!
...Well, after all of this yummy food, Zack took me to the movies. We went and saw Despicable Me, which is now one of our favorite movies.

Ok, now for the best part of my birthday. My biggest suprise was..... are you holding your breathe?.... the TOBY KEITH AND TRACE ADKINS CONCERT!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!! That was the following Saturday night, and man did we have a BLAST!

My Pretty Flowers! As you've guessed, The Big Apple is an Apple Orchard, but also so much more! They are open from June to December. Every season of course yields different crop. In the summer there are raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, peaches, plums, summer sqaush, ... and any other summer produce you can think of. In the Fall there are squash, pumpkin, tomatoes, green beans, peppers, corn, and APPLES of all shapes, sizes, and ... brands? Anyway, I can tell you now just about anything you wanna know about every kind of apple. For baking, the best apple to use is Wolf River, a combination of McIntosh, Gala, and Macoun make the best apple pies. Cortlands are also good for baking. Empire apples are crisp and are FABULOUS when made into caramel apples! ... Well, I think you get the point. I've had so much fun working here. I mostly worked the cash register and bakery.

On top of all of the fresh produce, they also have what we call "Purchase Products." Things like jams and jellies. Spiced Pears and Peaches. Caramel apple kits, Candy apple kits, old fashioned candies, fudge, pancake mixes, ect. The bakery is only open in the fall and in this section there are muffins (made from the berries of that summer), Apple Turnovers, home-made chocolate chip cookies, homemade donuts (which are to DIE for), and PIES! Any kind of pie you can think of, we've made. Apple, Pumpkin, Cherry, Peach, Mixed Berry, Blueberry, Strawberry Rhubard, and many more!!

I've loved working here and will miss it when I go back to Rexburg. Everyone I worked with were amazing and have become good friends. If you ever travel to Wrentham, MA make sure you look up the Big Apple. You won't regret it.
OH I ALMOST FORGOT!
The Big Apple also makes the worlds BEST apple cider, made from our apples. If you mix one of their mulled cider packs with the cider, you get some of the best hot cider around! Come over to my house and I'll make you some. I bought so many packs of the spice mixture, I have enough for an army!

This is the jams and jellies, BBQ sauce, Salad dressing, Vermont syrup, Salsa... wall

This machine is pretty cool. After the apples are picked from the trees, they are dumped into a large basin filled with water and some sort of chemical that cleans the apple. Then they roll out onto the conveyor belt. You can see it in the picture. Every apple has its own little divet that it travels in. While on the moving belt, the apple is also weighed. Based on the apples weight, it is moved onto a turning contraption (you can see these to the left of the picture), where the men put them into the appropriate bags to be sold. It is quite the process, but very fun to watch!

Here is where the apples are displayed and ready for sale. Of course I love this. I go every saturday to look around to try to find treasures...AND I HAVE! I've found a fabulous jewelery box, a clock from the 1700's, a beautiful silver tray, and much more! I found a trunk yesterday for only $150, but sadly I can't send it home so I can't get it. This was one of them...
There is a little town on the coast of Rhode Island called Newport. It is a hopping little place, filled with little shops, beaches, and "The Cliff Walk." This walk, as named, is a walk along the cliffs with a view of the ocean on the left and very large mansions on the right. Zack and I packed a lunch and had a great afternoon walking, talking, and enjoying the views. Although we only saw one mansion, it was still a good afternoon.

<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; I'll be doing a couple of posts, so hopefully everyone will scroll down and see what I've been up to! Sorry for the wait. I've been crazy busy.

So, These few pictures were taken a few months ago. We had just gotten paid and spent $300 on food!!! HOLY CRAP! It was really fun going up and down every isle talking about what we were going to buy. I love grocery shopping. It is probably one of my favorite things to do. I love that Zack enjoys doing these things with me.

The Loot!

Zack is Very good at making Omlets and we made this the morning after our spree. I've only known you a total of 145 days, but they have been the best of my life. Thank you for always being there to make me feel better when I'm sad and scared, hold me when I wake up in the middle of the night, make me laugh when I'm mad, and love me when I'm being impossible. I love waking up with you every morning. I feel like I can take on the world with you and I know that if I DID want to take over the world, you would stand behind me and help me do it. It was fun getting to know everyone and have a chance to relax from all the stresses of moving. We were able to go antique shopping, go to the beach, eat lobster and clams, roast smores, etc. I'll let the pictures explain the rest... They aren't really in order, but I just wanted to get them up so everyone could see!

The Beach. It was so weird to see, but they tasted wonderful!... especially after being dipped in melted butter and steamed over a white wine and lemon broth.

Brothers! This was one of the treasures that I found... No, I didn't get it, but isn't it beautiful?!?!! Hopefully I can find another one like this when I have a little more money!!! I can't wait to go back and explore some more.

On the way up, it was raining CATS AND DOGS. I'm on my way to Bradley International Airport, located in Hartford, CT. To be honest, I'm a very large mixture of emotions. I'm excited to meet my new family. I'm relieved to see Zack. I'm scared for the future. I'm sad to have left Colorado. I'm happy this flight will be over in just over an hour.... see? It's kind of hard to juggle everything all at once.

But wait, this is not what I wanted to talk about! I am just absolutely amazed and thrilled about this GOGO Internet. It is the neatest thing. I'll bet you that just a few years ago, no one even thought about this! I am constantly amazed at how quickly humanity moves forward. We are always coming up with NEW and BETTER technology. I can't wait for the flying cars to finally come around... maybe I'm wishing too hard?

Ok, I'm done ranting and being overly enthralled in this...

Back to the updates...

Well, about $1800 dollars later, Zack's car is being fixed.... I know, you had to look at that number twice didn't you? I did. Yep, apparently the people that fixed it back in Chicago the FIRST time messed things up and made the car even worse. Fancy that. Hopefully we can get a lot of the money back and the car will be fixed and run real well. And on top of that, we are hoping to get money from the government because they didn't have any warning signs or cones for the large pot hole which started this whole mess! Keep your fingers crossed for us. Until next time!Becka LeFollhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00246126864110485566noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4670936032641243695.post-74080508505054423002010-07-27T22:51:00.001-07:002010-07-27T23:17:47.643-07:00#$%^&*!?Oh man... What a crazy 2 days! I got a heart-stopping call from Zack Monday afternoon, telling me that he and Rachel had gotten into an accident. I KNOW!!! SCARY RIGHT!? Apparently, he went over a massive pot hole on the freeway and blew out both of his back tires along with something about the alignment of the car? (I don't know what the heck that means, but I know it's bad!) But, along with THAT nightmare, they spun out across the OTHER SIDE OF THE FREEWAY!!! AHHHH!!!!!!! I am just so grateful no one got hurt and they didn't get hit by another car.

Ok, and while I'm venting about this stupid car? I HATE THIS STUPID CAR!!! I'm happy to have a vehicle, but it is just so incredibly stressful because it never works and something is always wrong!!! So much money has been put into it and I cannot WAIT to find a more reliable one.

This situation really reminded me about a Mormon messages video I watched a while ago. It talked about how we need to remember that trials are only fleeting and the light is always at the end of the tunnel. The reason I remembered it though, was because Elder Holland talks about how when he was younger and had a young family, his car also died on him... more than once (looks like I'm not alone after all!)

I strongly believe that we are all capable of getting through hard times, and I myself am proof that there can be light at the end of a long dark tunnel. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful life. My family is so supportive and loving, my husband is the greatest man I know, and I have so many close friends that just make the hard times disappear. So, I guess what I really wanted to say was, yes, the situation I've found myself in the past few days has sucked MAJORLY, but I know that God puts trials in our lives to help us grow stronger. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. And even if I have to push that car to the end of that darn tunnel, I'll do it with a smile on my face, because I know how blessed I really am and I know that tunnels always end!

Just because I thought it was so great, I want to share this video with everyone. ENJOY! Until next time!

Becka LeFollhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00246126864110485566noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4670936032641243695.post-27755915566310353482010-07-24T21:09:00.000-07:002010-07-24T21:30:38.900-07:00COLORADO!!!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheMvc9rj4j5TigUDuHEPJduA5_sFQjoBH5Lf-R_FzPNeHYbibExib9I68Ijo4-DmQ2ckvFLiqL53mK5o3v3G3IkomV0L_9eq70GEDSNx8JPl-hTqETxv3U7_ixeYqVc5DkGOKZEGzQnEvX/s320/lostlake-colorado.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5497696536597276322" />
There was a change of plans...and 6 hours on a bus, and 10 hours in a car later, I am at the Taylor's house in Colorado Springs!!! I AM HOME! Although the drive was long and hot, it was so worth it. Especially when the smell of rain and pine tree's hit me through the car window. I haven't smelled that in years! ... OK, I'm just babbling now, but it was just good!

I will be staying here in the Springs for the next four days. Then I'll fly to Massachusetts and FINALLY get to see my husband again. I haven't seen him in 24 hours and let me tell you, that is WAY TOO LONG!I haven't been away from him for this long before and it is not fun... OK, OK, I'll stop being mushy...

I'll be sure to get pictures of my time here. OH! I forgot to mention that for the first time in YEARS my old high school group is back together. Me, Beth, Tori, and Tay! I'm excited. Until next time!Becka LeFollhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00246126864110485566noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4670936032641243695.post-60690773475768323772010-07-22T20:52:00.000-07:002010-07-22T21:08:12.823-07:002 Days and Counting! Finally only 2 days left. I didn't think it would be so bad, but this last week has been absolute hell. Just a few of my highlights:

1. My van died

2. I almost missed a final (luckily, I was able to take it and ended up with a B)

3. I have gotten all of 13 hours of restless sleep

4. I'm getting sick

5. I lost my keys

...Just for balance, I'll add 5 good things that have happened to me this week...

1. My hair is now semi-blonde and flaunting an A-line cut and I LOVE it (pictures will be posted soon!)

2. My toes are painted a darling strawberry pink (with orange sparkles I might add)

3. The weather has been gorgeous

4. Zack still loves me (for those of you who have seen how I get when I'm stressed...NOT PRETTY! Not pretty at all!)

5. All my classes are done and over!

I am just so ready to get out of Rexburg. Yes, granted I might end up on the side of the road in the middle of Montana with an overheated engine, but who cares! Just thought I would update. Until next time!Becka LeFollhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00246126864110485566noreply@blogger.com0
