Date Night...

A couple of days ago Zack and I were able to GO ON A DATE! It was such a nice break from job-hunting, cataloging, and moving in. We went to the County Fair! How cute is that! There were rides, caramel apples, Italian Sausages, games, AND dancing.

Aren't we cute?

Sorry this is crooked...

I painted my toes for the occasion! Aren't they fun!?

I had to just throw this one in. I'm eating a home grown PEACH! And man it was yummmy. There are Peach trees, blueberry bushes, and apple trees in Nana D's front yard. I can't wait for those apples to get big enough to eat!

Camping in Maine 2010

Over the weekend me, Zack, and his family went camping at Orchard Beach in Maine. It was fun getting to know everyone and have a chance to relax from all the stresses of moving. We were able to go antique shopping, go to the beach, eat lobster and clams, roast smores, etc. I'll let the pictures explain the rest... They aren't really in order, but I just wanted to get them up so everyone could see!

The Beach. I just loved the lifeguard tower...don't know why

My very first Maine Lobster

It was YUMMY!

Smores

The Clams have to be soaked in salt water with corn meal added to it. They digest the corn meal, creating a type of stuffing in their stomachs, while spitting out all the sand that is inside. It was so weird to see, but they tasted wonderful!... especially after being dipped in melted butter and steamed over a white wine and lemon broth.

Brothers! (Dan & Zack)

We went antiquing in this darling little sea town called Ogunquit. This was one of the treasures that I found... No, I didn't get it, but isn't it beautiful?!?!! Hopefully I can find another one like this when I have a little more money!!! We are only 2 hours from this place. I can't wait to go back and explore some more.

On the way up, it was raining CATS AND DOGS. We had to pull over about 3 times because we couldn't see out the window! Crazy stuff. See the smudgy red lights? Barely? Well, those are car lights....

Me and Zack waiting for the rain to stop.

We had a blast on this camping trip and can't wait for the next family get-together! Hope you enjoyed the pictures. More to come soon! Until next time!
